Hat hier jemand Erfahrung mit Auslandsbafög?
Ich will versuchen nächstes Jahr ein Auslandssemester in den USA auf eigene Faust zu organisieren (d.h. ohne Partneruni etc.) und da das sehr teuer ist brauche ich finanzielle Unterstützung. Ich hab gerade mal mit dem Bafög-Rechner ganz grob versucht auszurechnen, ob ich förderungsberechtigt wäre (während meinem regulären Studium in Deutschland bin ich es nicht), und ich bin ganz erstaunt, dass mir da als monatlicher Bafög-Anspruch nun 660 Euro ausgerechnet wurden. Außerdem werden auch noch Studiengebühren bis zu ca. 4000 Euro übernommen, was auch schon ein großer Teil wäre... Klingt für mich jetzt irgendwie alles zu gut um wahr zu sein. Hat jemand schon mal Auslandsbafög in Anspruch genommen und kann mir sagen, ob das tatsächlich alles so funktioniert wie der Rechner das einem vormacht?
Außerdem frage ich mich, inwieweit sich meine Situation ändern würde, wenn meine Schwester eventuell nächstes Jahr anfängt zu arbeiten und Geld zu verdienen. Wenn ich jetzt also bald den Bafög Antrag stellen würde, im August mein Auslandssemester beginnen würde und meine Schwester in der Zwischenzeit irgendwann einen Job findet, muss man den Antrag dann nachkorrigieren oder sowas?
Sind vielleicht blöde Fragen, aber ich hab mich noch nie mit Bafög auseinandergesetzt...
